2021 Fall Leaf & Yard Debris Collection

Each year beginning in October and ending in December, the Town of Pittsford provides a valuable recycling service to residents – the collection of leaves along with our ongoing collection of yard debris from May to December. In the fall, a postcard containing program guidelines, service dates and descriptions is mailed to homeowners. If you have questions or concerns about this program, please call the Town of Pittsford Highway Department at 248-6270.

LEAF COLLECTION

2021 Collection dates: October 18 – December 10

  • Our crews will be in your neighborhood approximately every two weeks to collect loose leaf piles. Consolidating small piles of leaves into larger piles will help expedite leaf pick up. During this time, crews will continue to pick up yard debris every week if it is placed in a bag/container and separated from your leaf piles. It is important to keep leaves and yard debris separated, as yard debris can damage our leaf vacuum or cause injury to crew staff.  PLEASE NOTE that loose brush will be picked up on an ongoing basis (no set schedule) during this time and containerized debris will be picked up on the regular weekly schedule (see Yard Debris section below for information). Please note residential burning of brush and leaves is prohibited in Pittsford.
