Beginning in March, the Town of Pittsford will begin using new parks and recreation technology called, RECTRAC. RECTRAC, a comprehensive

automated management information software system, will streamline services - making the registration process easier for residents.

Supervisor Carpenter stated "One of Pittsford's ongoing priorities has been to keep in line with the most up to date technology so that residents receive the best services available in a timely and efficient manner. I am confident that RECTRAC will help us meet this important goal."

Some changes residents will notice with the new technology include:

• Residents will receive a receipt/confirmation of registration e-mailed immediately;
• Residents will be able to register all desired family members into any number of programs in one operation;
• Residents will be able to check the availability of meeting rooms, lodges and fields online;
• If rooms and/or classes are booked, residents will be able to be put on an automatic waitlist.

The most notable difference will be that the Town will now offer one centralized location for booking rooms and fields. This includes rooms at the Pittsford Community Library, Town Hall, Spiegel Community Center and the Town's park facilities.

This new software will also assist Town staff when selecting new programs, enhancing current programs, creating program goals, and scheduling upcoming events for families. Participation will be tracked day-to-day to assist program managers in planning personnel staffing, program availability, program performance and popularity.

When the Town transitions to the new software, residents will need to register their information online and create new accounts. If residents had accounts using the old system, they will need to re-register their information. The registration process will only have to be completed one time.
