Town and County officials participated in a joint press conference at Pittsford's VanHuysen Senior Center, 3750 Monroe Avenue, on Tuesday morning, 4/7.
Pittsford Town Supervisor Bill Carpenter, Deputy Supervisor Sandra Zutes, County Executive Maggie Brooks and County Legislator Anthony Danielle were on hand to unveil a new vehicle acquired with funding from the town and county.
The van, capable of carrying 12 passengers and equipped with one wheelchair accessible seat, will provide transportation to the county's Senior Nutrition Program site in Pittsford. The VanHuysen Senior Center, 3750 Monroe Avenue, is a host site for the county's "Lunch Club 60" program which provides an opportunity for seniors to share in a hot meal, partake in social activities, and receive nutrition screening, assessment, education and counseling.
