Pittsford Town Justice F. Robert Michel announced that he is stepping down from his post and will retire from public service. After a great deal of thought

and consideration, Michel has decided to vacate the position of Town Justice to spend more time with his family. Michel has served as Pittsford Town Justice for the past 21 years.

The Pittsford Town Board will appoint a qualified individual to serve out the remainder of Justice Michel’s term, which expires at the end of 2009. Supervisor Carpenter is actively seeking members of the Pittsford community who have experience in the legal profession and would like to serve as interim Town Justice.

Interested candidates should submit their resumes to the Office of the Pittsford Town Supervisor, 11 S. Main Street, Pittsford, NY 14534, or e-mail him no later than Friday, 2/20 by clicking here. Inquiries should be directed to (585) 248-6220. Justice Michel’s retirement will be effective no later than the end of April 2009
