Tax rate decrease proposed for fifth consecutive year - 2008

Town Supervisor Bill Carpenter has proposed a budget that cuts the town tax rate for the fifth consecutive year.

On Friday, August 29, Pittsford Town Supervisor Bill Carpenter submitted his proposed 2009 Operating Budget to the Town Board. This budget delivers a tax rate decrease for the fifth year in a row. The 2009 tax rate, $2.78/thousand dollars of assessment, represents a 0.16% decrease from the previous year. The average Pittsford homeowner will pay $727 in town taxes in 2009.
