Each December, the General Federation of Women's Clubs encourages volunteers to participate in the Wreaths Across America project to remember and honor the lives of our veterans. The Women’s Club of Pittsford will host a Wreaths Across America ceremony at the Pittsford Veterans Monument in Carpenter Park on Monday, December 3 at 3:00pm. The ceremony will include an honor guard and a prayer of remembrance to honor all living and deceased veterans. Brief comments from Pittsford’s Rayson-Miller American Legion Post 899, the Woman’s Club of Pittsford and Town Supervisor Bill Smith will follow, along with the laying of two wreaths donated by Gallea’s Tropical Greenhouse. The remembrance closes with the playing of Taps. All are invited and encouraged to attend as a way to remember and honor our veterans during this holiday season. The Veterans Monument in Carpenter Park is located at 22 North Main Street in Pittsford Village.
