Mitchell Road bridge closed by NYSDOT; no reopen date yet - 2016

The Mitchell Road bridge over the canal was closed by the NYS Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) as of Friday, 8/26/16 for review of a condition revealed by a recent bridge inspection and engineering analysis. Per NYSDOT, the schedule for the bridge to reopen has not been determined. The Mitchell Road bridge runs between Route 96 (Jefferson Road) and Route 31 (Monroe Ave/Palmyra Road). Please use the posted alternate routes when traveling in the area.
