Public Meeting on Hunting in Pittsford is November 5

Pittsford Town Supervisor Bill Smith will hold a public meeting on Monday, November 5 to discuss hunting in the Town of Pittsford. Pittsford residents with an interest in this topic are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be held at 6:00pm in the public meeting room at Town Hall (lower level of building), 11 South Main Street.

The Town currently prohibits all hunting north of Jefferson Road. Hunting, following State regulations, currently is allowed on private property in the area south of Jefferson Road. No firearms may be discharged within 500 feet of any dwelling. Bow hunting, with a Town permit, is allowed in the Royal Coach open space located just north of the NYS Thruway and between Mendon Center Road and Bloomfield Road; hunting is prohibited on all other Town-owned lands.
