PITTSFORD WELCOMES VOTETILLA CELEBRATING WOMEN’S SUFFRAGE ON JULY 20
Save the date - the Susan B. Anthony Museum & House VoteTilla honoring the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote in New York State and the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal will make its way to Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford on Thursday, July 20. Pittsford Town Supervisor Bill Smith, Pittsford Village Mayor Bob Corby and Town and Village board members will welcome the VoteTilla of five canal boats, complete with re-enactors in 19th century period costume, when it arrives at 11:35am; members of the public are encouraged to attend! Historic Pittsford and the Women’s Club of Pittsford have planned a full day of activities at the park and at nearby locations to compliment activities organized by the VoteTilla Fleet committee. All activities except the Scholars Luncheon are free and open to the public.
