All Town of Pittsford facilities and programs, including the Interim Community Center, the Pittsford Community Library, the VanHuysen Senior Center, Pittsford Town Court, and Pittsford Town Hall are closed today (Friday, March 2, 2018) due to the severe winter storm.

We understand this weather is challenging and frustrating to our community members and thank all for your patience as Town crews work to make our roadways clear and safe. In a severe weather situation, our crews must first clear and maintain the Town’s main roads and access ways to ensure fire truck, ambulance, police and other emergency vehicle access. For the safety of all our community members, this has to be our first priority – then we are able to work on clearing secondary roadways.

Our plow and salt trucks provide snow and ice control for over 150 miles of roads within the Town limits; a continuous downpour of heavy snow is quite a challenge to these efforts but crews are working diligently to get the job done. Thank you all for your understanding. Monroe County has issued a “no unnecessary travel” advisory until 10:00am this morning but if you must venture out today please do be careful.
